“When it comes to insurance, education is my passion. I want to help people fully understand their options so that they can make an informed business decision.” Ben’s role at RE Sutton & Associates increases the emphasis on the analytical portion of our large group consulting, ensuring that the benefit decisions made are financially favorable for our clients. His focus is on renewals and the bid process for all lines of coverage from RFP to implementation. If the renewal is not sent out to the market for a given year, Ben will calculate a claims projection to be sure the renewal is reasonable. He also reviews monthly reports from the health administrators, tracking how each client is running throughout the year compared to where the carrier expected costs to be. Ben earned a Bachelors of Science in Economics from Butler University with minors in Business Administration and Mathematics. The five years before joining RE Sutton & Associates in 2004 were spent with a local TPA producing IBNR calculations, reinsurance RFPs, plan change pricing, claims projections, COBRA rate development, and customized claim reports for clients. |
